RIDE. CHECK. REFINE.

ECU Flashing & Setup

Beyond peak power. Work towards engine response that fits the way you ride—using vehicle condition, data and riding feedback to consider throttle opening, drive and deceleration.

Enquire about ECU Flashing

Start by checking the model and specification. Detailed technical consultation is separate and may carry a charge.

01 / YOUR RIDING

What would you like to change?

  • Jerky response as you first open the throttle
  • A motorcycle that feels difficult to manage at low speed
  • Engine braking that feels too strong
  • Checking fuelling after modifications
  • Adjusting the response for motogymkhana

The cause may lie outside the ECU. Vehicle condition is checked before considering what flashing can address.

02 / OUR APPROACH

Ride it. Feel it. Refine it.

Changing ECU data is one step. What matters is how that change connects with the rider’s inputs.

Share your goals

Describe when and how the motorcycle feels different from what you want—for example, initial throttle response or drive at low speed.

Check what can be adjusted

Fuel, ignition, engine braking and other controls vary by motorcycle and ECU. Adjustments are considered against the actual specification.

Ride and verify

Where needed, measurements and logging support riding checks and rider feedback as the response is refined.

What is “transient response”?

It is the engine’s response when your inputs change, such as opening or closing the throttle, rather than only at a steady engine speed. The feeling from input to drive matters alongside maximum power. Measurement and riding-check methods are agreed for the motorcycle and the work.

03 / SETTING STORIES

Setup, seen through real examples.

Each motorcycle and purpose is different. These examples follow the public work records used on the latest Japanese ECU page.

MOTOGYMKHANA / TRANSIENT RESPONSE

HONDA GROM

Revisiting setup for transient response

Purpose
The original individual enquiry has not been verified. The public record focuses on transient response for motogymkhana.
Adjustments
Re-setting fuel and ignition, with air–fuel ratio (A/F) remeasurement following a piston replacement.
What is documented
Re-setting and A/F remeasurement are documented. Quantified performance changes have not been verified.

RIDING / DATA LOGGING

SUZUKI GSX-R750

Checking riding data and low-speed behaviour

Purpose
The original individual enquiry has not been verified. The record considers low-speed pulling behaviour, engine braking and how to ride the motorcycle.
Adjustments
Low-speed pulling behaviour and engine braking. Specific control parameters and values have not been verified.
What is documented
Logging and adjustments were used while considering the riding approach. The amount of improvement and final assessment have not been verified.

MOTOGYMKHANA / RIDING CHECKS

KAWASAKI ZX-4R

Adjusting initial throttle response and deceleration

Purpose
The original individual enquiry has not been verified. The record emphasises smooth initial throttle response and the feeling of power as the throttle opens.
Adjustments
Idle adjustment through the ECU and engine-braking adjustment.
What is documented
Idle and engine-braking adjustments and riding checks are documented. A measured power increase has not been verified.

04 / HOW IT WORKS

From enquiry to explaining the findings.

  1. 01

    Make an enquiry

Tell us your motorcycle model, symptoms and the response you would like, using the official ECU LINE account.

  2. 02

    Check the motorcycle & specification

Review the year, ECU, modified parts and vehicle condition.

  3. 03

    Confirm compatibility & a quote

Agree on the scope, cost, schedule and verification methods before proceeding.

  4. 04

    Flash & verify

Carry out the agreed flashing and the necessary checks.

  5. 05

    Explain the findings

Share what was confirmed and any points that need further adjustment.

Confirm pricing, lead time, further adjustments and on-site arrangements before work begins. These depend on the motorcycle and project.

05 / QUESTIONS

Before you arrange ECU work.

Which motorcycles are supported?

Compatibility and adjustable parameters depend on the model, year, ECU and vehicle specification. The examples do not establish support for every model or year. Send your model, year and modified parts first.

Can I enquire after changing the exhaust?

Yes, you can enquire about your current specification. Include the exhaust manufacturer and product, plus intake or engine changes. Flashing compatibility and measurement methods are checked individually.

Can the setup be adjusted again afterwards?

A GROM re-setting example is publicly documented. Confirm availability for your own motorcycle, costs, number of adjustments and the applicable time window before work begins.

Can I send only the ECU?

The official X account has announced ECU sales for a specific GROM JC61 setup. Selling an ECU and flashing your own ECU by post are separate services. Postal flashing availability has not been verified: contact eFactory before sending anything.

Points to confirm before work

Confirm how the original ECU will be handled, the price, and implications for Japanese vehicle inspection, manufacturer warranty and fault risks. ECU Flashing does not guarantee performance, safety or legal compliance.

06 / LET’S TALK

How would you like your bike to respond?

Enquiry reception and detailed diagnosis or setup consultation are separate. Detailed technical advice may carry a fee; confirm the scope and fees in advance. English-language arrangements also need to be confirmed.

  • Motorcycle model and model code
  • Year, if known
  • Modified parts
  • Current symptoms
  • Desired response and intended use
